Sabah trip day 2

1/12/08

When i woke up its only 5.30am,
somebody was poking on my face,
it was michelle, she woke up at 5am,
shes kinda crazy,
she bugged me the previous night till
1am sthg
its kinda scary though i am sleeping all alone in the living room,
then i finally woke up, it scared me that the sky was bright so early.

Well, i guess the morning was so beutiful that i forgot to snap it,
then, i washed up and sat at the sofa and observing one by one of my friends waking up,
its already 7am, the driver is waiting for us at the gates,
I pack up my backpack to suit the day's activities.

notice the clock, its already that bright by 6.45am.

we went to a nearby coffeeshop for brakfast,
i had tom yam ho fun with seafood for breakfast,
the soup it came with has weird stuff in it,

i dont know what is it, but my guess its a fish skin.

then we went to Gaya Street, which is a version of Petaling Street there,
saw lotsa intersting stuff,

street performers singing in philipino,

somebody forgot to tell me apparently Gaya Street is also China town,

then we went to the wet market at the next street,

there is lotsa ppl here, its locals instead of tourists.

it kinda reminds me of Pudu area,

well you find one of these every 5m, and you'll rarely find rubbish on the floor,
its the only thing different from KL.

me and wuz went to walk the wet market for the last time,
then our phone rang,
they are rushing us to board the van

We went to the local zoo, there wasnt much difference than others,
nevertheless, there is also lotsa intersting pictures

then, we went for lunch and then a cultural villiage,
we go to a place where they kept skulls of the decesed,
its once the ememies of the tribes,
carbon dating dates the skulls as old as 300 yrs old,
there are certain taboos i still follow when taking pictures,
however, the guide insisted,

Wasnt much to see around though,
there is a small cultural show,

Never understood why these ppl like to aim their blowpipes at me, had similar experience at sarawak, so i aimed my camera at him, XD XD.

Then, we go to the beach to watch the sunset,
it happens everyday but not many have the time to appreciate one of nature's wonders,
we waited since 3.30pm till 5pm, played at the beach for sometime

Jellyfish washed ashore, wuz killed it later with all its fluid flowing out,

Rubbish everywhere, people just dont show courtesy for nature,

Look, there goes the English fleet....hey, Mr Brooke, dont go!!! still owe me money

then the sunset came closer, the DSLR battery pack died, so i result to using my K800i,
when wuz was saying sthg philosophical, we bumped into each other and the phone went for a swim,
well, the pics are still in the phone now, its been sent for repairs, hopefully it could be recovered. T.T

then, xian left his camera and wuz's wallet at a booth, luckily they found it,
then we went back to the house to bath and change, my whole body is stained with sand,
luckily we went home 1st.
if not the places would be filled with sand.
then, we went for dinner afterwards at little penang,
its funny we are eating penang food at sabah.
is almost 1 time zone away.
