Mt. Kinabalu
after breakfast, we have to drive 2 hours to crooker range,
where there is a forest reserve is at,
we are stopping at the forest reserve before going to the Mt. Kinabalu checkpoint,
the 2hours is mundane, like driving from KL to Cameron Highlands.
listening to music, trying to catch some sleep, some cit chat,
we reach an observation post which overlooks the Mt Kinabalu,
With CPL filter
With UV filter
then, we continued on to a hill top town somewhere at the crooker range,
then, our driver Mr Walter continues to drive us for 1 hour till we reach the Poring Forest Reserve checkpoint,
upon buying ticket, we entered the place,
Then, we continued on to the canopy walk,
before that we have to climb a hill, at the base, I have to pay RM5 for bringing my camera,
then, i found out i couldnt take much beautiful pictures,
when reaching the top, I found our we still have to walk another 1 click on the hanging bridge, at the tree canopy.
Tree hugger, XD
Opps, i broke a twig,
Shaky bridge, wasnt easy to take this picture,
finally, finishing the canopy walk, we start a steep desend to the checkpoint,
then the rest of the people return to the checkpoint, left me and wuz, we wanted to continue to other route,
"lets see, 3 clicks, 0.7 clicks, ok, we are definately going for the 400m walk"
after trekking 400m, we finally reach the waterfall,
took this with the N95, right in the middle of the stream on some rock,
the picture looks better though,
a washing my face with the water was refreshing,
the walk was worth it, then Ian join us,
upon taking another few more pictures, our phone rang again,
the gang are rushing us to go back again,
well, they would have to wait, is a 400M walk, it takes sometime even if i am running,
We had lunch at a restaurant on the way to Mt Kinabalu checkpoint,
on the way there, there is a stand set up by the consevation dept. of sabah,
it turns out to be a rafflesia there nearby
we have to pay RM10 to see it,
Wasnt too smelly though, our shoes are smellier.
After lunch, we went to the base of mount kinabalu, due to heavy fog, our driver pulled over at a exhibition center,
then we went back on to the checkpoint, well the lighting has been wreaking havoc on all the pictures i took,
had to twig the setting everytime i take a picture.
After taking pictures, we drove down the hill, everyone is sleeping in the van, i tried to catch some ZZZZs too,
we had dinner at a western restaurant,
then we called the person incharge of the island hopping tomorrow,
we manage to lower the price from RM250 to RM41 per person,
then we have yo-yo, a local special desert.
After that, we went back to our house.
